Hello everyone, I am new to the site and an currently looking at a 1976 Dart for sale for $8000.
This is my first muscle / classic ever.
I am really considering this car. is there any reason why I should be concerned? I wish it were a 70, but its still nice to look at.

I looked at it and drove it the other day. It has a 360 engine and brand new 4 barrel carb. It was recently painted ground up. (few year ago)
the body looks good except where someone tried to break into the car a while ago and chipped paint at the tip of the hood (barely noticeable and dented the top of the car above the drivers door probably in frustration when the couldn't get into the car.

The interior has a new dash cover, headliner and it appears that the seats are upholstered.
The exhaust is new with dual flowmasters.

I looked under the car and there isnt a trace of rust anywhere, infact its coated in black. the body is painted as if it were stripped down first. I felt inside the quarter panels, and fenders for rust, dust and grime. Nothing... I was shocked.
The pics kind of make the car look yellow, but its really more green in cloudy weather. I like that. It has scat pack stickers on the rear windows and stripe... not too sure about that.

The vin on the dash, title and fender all match. I didn't know anywhere else to look at the time. For anyone who wants to help me out here, the vin and fender sticker with car options is below. I was able to decode some of the information but would love to know more.

Beautiful car! Sounds like a great deal. I would be very Happy to own this car for sure. I'd go ahead with the purchase after I was assured that the title is clear and you've completed your inspection of it.

Good luck and welcome!

Thanks for the welcome and your input.

Adding a few more pics.

Thanks guys. I told the man to hold the car. And am getting the money now. This my first ever classic car. I've held off for 20 years. I think I will really enjoy this car. Your input helped make my choice.

Thanks to all of you.

I didn't say it the other day, but if you can come out of your house and look at the car and a smile comes to your face because you know you are driving that today and its going to be a good day because of it, then go for it you will have no regrets. Like I said before that's not a bad price, it is under 10K. I have seen rust bucket projects up my way that go for 6K and you cant drive them home.

Hello from Minnesota! How could you go wrong with a yellow car? Maybe I'm partial because my car is yellow. Looks like a sweet ride, have fun with it!

right on. i love the color. its so different and plays tricks on the eyes. in gray skies it looks more lime green and in sunny skies it looks more yellow.

Now i need to find a few parts to fix up the car to where i want it.

does anybody know what size wheels and rims i can max out on the car? I want fat tires on it and a nice set of rims, and some new door panels.
other than that, i'd like to fix or replace some the chrome parts that show some age.

where should i search for parts tires etc?
I am new to this so bare with me.
