Put disk brakes on 1972 demon, from a 74 dart it had power brakes, used master cylinder from 1989 truck (aluminum big bore) did not use power brakes from dart. did use proportions valve from 74. all new calipers , when you push brake pedal both front brakes are hard to turn after you release brake. what gives.

Try a 1/16 washer behind the master on both studs, and even two if it is still the same.Your master cylinder is not releasing pressure fully.if this works you either have to adjust the rod in the booster to get more clearance or space out the master, mrmopartech

Are they the slider type calipers? maybe the bolts holding the pads in are a little too tight. May want to grease the rails where the caliper slides on the bracket.?????

A simple test would be crack a bleeder screw and see if it makes any difference but if you can turn the wheel by hand there probably is no residual fluid pressure. That would be impossible to turn by hand. All disc brakes drag a little, especially when new. Drive it a day or two then check again.

did u swap the front and rear lines?...i think the newer masters use the front pot for the front brakes?
