Hello everyone! I need some advice on removing the chrome trim above the door on a 75 dart sport. To be more accurate it is the part that if you ran your hand down the side of the roof you would come to some valley that runs water away from the door and it has chrome trim on it...if that makes sense. Also if you could tell me the name of that thing I would appreciate that as well

That's the drip rail and the drip rail moulding is what you are removing
You can use a small block of wood and a can/bottle opener (church key type) by placing the wood between the roof and use the opener to gently pry the trim off be slow and gentle
it's easily bent

Ok so use the block of wood to avoid damage to roof and to act as a pry and then use the pointy side of the bottle opener to pry upwards and pop it off...so it dont slide off it pry's off. Thank you! Lol I was wanting to call it drip edge...guess I was close

I found a vid on YouTube somewhere........................

I used a bottle opener with tape wrapped around the end to prevent marring the trim. Just go slow and be gentle. It's very easy to bend or dent the stainless.
