help with 73 scamp

I need help with my 73 Scamp it is over amp ing was told it was regulator still does it

This concern is covered frequently and repeatedly on this forum. There are many good threads to choose from. I would suggest searching with "overcharging" or "alternator" and you will finds hours upon hours of reading. My own guess would be a poor/bad ground or voltage drop in the harness feeding your regulator.
