I have a 72 duster and a set of 74 dart disc brake spindles rotors calipers ect. What do I need to do to swap them over on the duster? I'm speaking of ball joints control arms ect. I know that the blot pattern is bigger. When you buy the lower ball joints do they come with the steering arms, they appear made together? Also what is my best bet for swaping the rear over to the 4.5 pattern? get axles and drums from a dart? Its a 8.75 rearend.

thanks

Upper control arms must be swapped with the 73 up disc set up as 73 up got the big B body size upper ball joints. lower ball joints are the same but I would replace them while you have it all apart. (Lower ball joints are made with the end that connects to the tie rod end)

For your 8 3/4 axles you need new from Strange, Summers, Moser, Yukon, and for brakes you will need new backing plates drums and hardware from a Chrysler car with 10 x 2-1/2 rear brakes.

You could send out your exixsting axles and have them drilled for 4.5 pattern with screw in studs and use your existing brake stuff, and redrill your old drums to 4.5. (I did this with my 383 scamp) .
