Hi All,
Please be gentle with me as this is my first time posting.
I've got a '74 Duster and the upper doors pads are history. Nobody makes repops and all of the OEM stuff out there is nearing the end of it's usefulness. So I had an idea that I think should work.
Can I just replace my doors with 70-72 doors? I'm thinking that the body is the same throughout all years and if I change to the early style door I eliminate the upper door pad problem and I get to have the same interior door handles that I had on my '68 GTS (man do I miss THAT car).
So the question is "can I change to the early door without any unforeseen complications?
Thanks,
Leo

Welcome aboard. Throw an ad up in the wanted section, someone here may just have what you need.

you'll need to find some one that has tried this -- hollander says they are different between 73-76 doors vs 70-72 doors-- need a side by side comparison Lawrence

I put 72 Demon doors on my 75 Duster. It will work BUT you have to also change the upper window track/weather striping as well.

Since I planned on replacing all of the weather stripping anyway that's not a problem.
Thanks for the input. I'm amazed that I got answers this quickly. I think I'm going to like being a part of this community.
