Got a question and need help on L023 clone. I purchased the trunk mount battery plate kit for the L023 Dart and I’m trying to figure out how and what position the plate was attached to the trunk floor. Can see in pictures of some L023 cars and locations but need more exact positions like measurements from a specific point. And also how the black metal plate is attached to the floor of the trunk. Thanks for any help and possible pictures.

Chuck

Yes it’s from Kramer’s, and I’m waiting for them to get back to me. Right there is a thin white piece that goes between the battery bottom and the mounting plate. I don’t know how long I will need to wait for Jim.

He is on his way to the MCACN show in Chicago right now, probably won't be home until mid next week...

Ok, I found some pictures of an original L023 battery in trunk and was able to zoom in close on the position and the bolt placements to mount it and I’m happy with how it lines up. Need to drill the holes in the plate and then into the trunk floor. I’ll post when I do that.

I decided to modify my inner fenders to get rid of damage and rust. I left the top shelf of them leaving it still structurally tight. I will be running the J bars on the outside of the engine compartment inside the wheel well, they will run along under where I cut and the weld the cut line to the J bars. I will also weld the shock tower to the j bar as well

I’m going to do a trunk floor mounted 22 gal. Fuel cell designed for a 69 mustang rather then the stick gas tank or mounting one in or over the spare tire compartment, I’ll picture frame it with angled steel. I’ll work on doing that tomorrow.

Has anybody repaired this area of the rear window corner or know of a member doing this. Does AMD make this piece to replace. The passenger side is fine but this side is bad and has a hole into the trunk. Any help would be great. Thanks Chuck

If your looking for wheel well cut out templates I have them in stock. These templates tell you how and where to cut the 1/4 panel to simulate the original Super Stock Dart wheel opening.
