Help With Light Installation

Quick question...on the plug for the headlights, there are 3 sets of wires, black, red, and purple...is it safe to say that black is the ground, red is for low beam, and purple is for high beam? The reason I ask is because the lights I have don't have high beam and only have a red and black wire to plug into the connector...

Red is high beam, Violet is low beam, and Black is ground.

The wires come directly from the dimmer switch through the bulkhead connector. The wires should be in the front end harness there somewhere....maybe the Violet ones got cut off?

Sounds like the headlights you have are not the corect ones, and are for a four bulb setup.

I ended up putting the red to the violet and the black to the black, so in essence all I have is low beams, but they sure beat the halogens I had before!
