I need some help with testing an application I'm writing...

Go here:

http://elite-computing.net/v-web/bulletin/bb/vehicle_registry.php

Click on "Add Vehicle to Registry". Then on the next page, select your vehicles year & manufacturer (only Dodge & Plymouth work), and put in your VIN and hit "Decode VIN".

Let me know if the data it comes up with is right or wrong.

Most other pieces of it don't work right just yet, I'm still working on it. This VIN decoding thing had me bugged for the last few days, I think I got most of it worked out.

Well, there's still one that needs to be worked out, sometimes there multiple matches for the "body style" (Dart Custom, Charger Coupe, etc). I'm still working on that.

Anyway... If you try it, let me know your results. Let me know if the result it comes up with is COMPLETELY wrong.

Thanks.

This app is gonna be the "vehicle registry" app that Adam was asking for, when it's done...

I took my vin from my registration. the 7th digit was an r.
Maybe its a misprint. I'll check on the car later.
Hoping its really a B. No offence to Canadians out there.

Ok, I made some changes... If you could try it again, I'd appreciate it.

Looks that way! ;-)

BTW, the "O" in your VIN is a "0" (zero). Then you'll get this:

Digit: 6 Digit Data: 0 Data: 1970

On the registery summary Mike, it looks as though the mileage and condition columns are flipping. Must be a Kerry trait in the program. Opps...

Yeah, possibly. I'm not worried about that page just yet, I still have to go though it. All I'm working on right now is the VIN decoding.

Fixed... I missed the whole 2nd digit for 1964 & 1965. And I missed the 'V' digit for the same years.

Ok... Final shot, I think I've got it all figured out.

Try it again, post your results here. Should all be clean, no missing information, no incorrect stuff. A-Bodies, B-Bodies, Dodge, Chrysler, whatever, it should all work. As long as it's 1964-1974.
