Finally gettting around to installing the dynamic converter that I purchased this winter.
here is the link to the thread I started when the converter arrived

Last night I got as far as taking off the converter's bolts before removing the tranny. They are much smaller than what is required for the dynamic. Not sure what the sizes are, but they are tiny.

Should the dynamic have included 4 new bolts or what? All my past converters have all included new bolts. What are you guys running with your dynamic converters?

Also is their a proper brake in period for a new converter? Never really followed one before, but also haven't had good luck with converters in the past. You get what you pay for! (time, miles, or something)

Every performance converter I have ever bought or seen required me to go get new ARP bolts.....you'll probably need the 7/16" for the Dynamic and the stocker had 5/16" Mancini has a kit that includes crank to flexplate and flexplate to converter bolts.

its not a big deal.. like Dusterb318 said its a performance convertor so it uses the 7/16 bolts...

Some convertors have 3/8" thread, I have a convertor that has this thread. GM cars use 3/8" thread so this is what I used on that convertor. But my dynamic is 7/16" thread so I used flexplate to crank bolts for the convertor because they are the same thread and have a short head.

7/16ths, im using ARP crank to flexplate bolts with no issues. You will likely need to pull the flexplate off the engine and match it up to the converter. The holes may need some massaging on the plate (if you are starting with a factory, they will already need to be enlarged for the bigger bolts) or if its a 7/16ths plate to make sure it aligns right. Then spray paint a tab of the flexplate and converter for ease of lining up installed.
