I am currently in the process of dry fitting the 6.4 to my duster to make sure everything clears prior to going to paint.

I have gone the option of fitting the motor to K frame and fitting from underneath rather than dropping in.
I am finding that the drivers side header top tube is hitting the shock tower. Have other people had this issue? Should i be able to bolt together and fit from underside?
I will potentially will have the headers altered to make a perfect fit as can see motor coming in and out a few times.

I have also noticed the 02 sensors just about tough the rails when fitted what have people done to solve this?
What starter motor have you guys used if using a 727 or 904 and any mods required

I used the Holley mount kit as well including the Holley bh23104 headers. With the engine in the car at minimum you will need to raise up the engine on the drivers side to fit them in the car. I ended up putting the drivers side header on the engine, then installed the engine from the top.

Yep i have pre installed on k frame and gone from underside. Bolted the steering box up and looks to have plenty of space as well

I used a starter for a 91-95 Dakota on my 5.7 Hemi with a 727 in my 71 Demon. It cranks the engine just fine and is nice and small compared to an old school starter.

Thanks mate ill look into it did it require any mods?

Legend ill save that to my list of parts to get, how did you go with steering column to valve cover clearance?
I trimmed the tube back several inches to gain clearance. Let me see if I can find a pic. I do have a couple of videos on YT that glance at the steering column but if you pause it you can see how much it was trimmed.

Here's a before and after pics. I couldn't get the valve cover on with the full length column tube. I installed an aftermarket shifter, which was the plan anyways since the tube and shifter arm were cut off.

O wow it is close! Yep ill be doing away with the column shift, the holley engine mounts do bring the engine forward so i will be keen to see if i have gained much clearance just with that. When you cut the tube back is there any other mods you have to make because you have cut the tube back?

That's been a minute since I did it and I don't remember. If there is a bushing in the end of the tube I would have removed it and slid it back in.....I just don't remember and right now the car is on my trailer and I'm too lazy to go look lol. When I removed the column I took the steering wheel lock plate out and slid the housing out of the car and left the steering shaft in place since the column needed some work done anyways.
