I just traded my 64 Valiant for a 74 Scamp. neighbor of mine wanted a lighter car to make a race car out of. His Scamp is more of a driver than my Valiant so it worked out for the both of us.

Some rust issues but none of them under the body. Interior is decent. Needs front and rear glass wipers and a battery to be a driver.

Oh. Details.

3182bbl 727 car. Havent looked at the rear yet. AC, PS, PB, Rear air defroster (because that is so important in Arizona.) Runs pretty good. doesnt respond to standing on ther pedal. Hesitates and knocks a little.

cant work on her yet, Broken ribs from the motorcycle accident still too painful.

bought a can of engine cleaner and sprayed her down, rinsed her off. Couldnt do NOTHING.

Cleaned the carb and bypassed the osac valve. Unreal how much nicer it starts and runs.

Next weekend COMPLETE TUNEUP TIME! Get a bearing for how well this car actually runs. For now, a few more better quality pics

Good luck with your Scamp.I presume you gave up on the rear bumper change over once I showed what was needed to do it.You can always change the front grille etc to a 69 Valiant. Here's what the change over from 74 to 69 would look like.I think I got a little carried away again good luck with your project.

Oh yeah I eliminated the side lights also

yeah, swapping the rear is a bit too involved for now.

i will probably eventually put a 68 valiant front on it. I dont know crap about body work so the rear is daunting. Eventually maybe.

Ok so I need everyones help. The car is a 318 and you step on it and it gets sputtery. I have gone through the carb. done all of the tune up & timing basics. I bypassed the OSAC valve and ran nuw vacuum line from the dist. checked the fuel filter, pump and lines. the car starts and runs great but once you give her throttle she toastfalls on her face.

I am thinking the vacuum advance on the dist has failed. Anyone have any other ideas?

Nice ride there Hemi - changing out that rear shouldn't be too hard - trunck extensions, decklid and bumper maybe all you need, but I have never done one myself - but I volunteer to help - I will bring my buddies - see the start of my Resto Thread.

Cool ride man. Great to see more Arizona A-bodies around!

I'm in Ahwatukhee, but drive around a bunch - I think you out at Sossaman right - Have Brick - will travel.

Meridian and southern. We should get all of the phx crew out for a cruise night or something. I know Ed is in the north west valley, brad is centrally located, marc is out west. and that there are probably about 30 of us.

rockerdude, the husky in your pic yours? I have a white male husky. had a red but he passed.

also, anyone know how to rename a thread. There is a used with a name almost identical to my buikd thread and i dont want people to think its his
