I went through this a couple of years ago but didn't get as far as I wanted. Maybe I didn't give/have enough info at the time.
My 64 Canadian Valiant has, according to the block number, a 64-66 LA 273 2bbl engine and I'm very happy with that! But the VIN as far as I can tell from LOTS of research (sweating emoji here) shows a Dart 6cyl car. Also, I'm getting nowhere with the fender tag. Here are pics of both tags that I took today. I was on one website today that said that it would be best to post both tags for best results. Hope someone can do this for me. And PLEASE point me to where you got the info.

Yes, that is an off center 7 at the begining of the VIN
