I have a stock fuel pump, I am wondering if the pressure is high. I ask because i removed my hose from my Holley carb and fuel poured out with pressure, fuel all over :angry7: is this normal, the car sat for 15 minutes than I removed it.Sorry i don't have the tool to do a pressure.test.

Yes, the system is pressured, this is normal.

normally it doesn't stay pressurized though. but if you have an EFI pump your carburator would probably be overflowing with fuel!

True, but most stock pumps will hold some pressure for about an hour.

Snake, aren't you the guy who put a check valve in the inlet of the pump?

The inlet / outlet valves of the pump already act as check valves, although some leak.
