Does anyone know what this hole is for on the rear frame rail in front of where the axle goes? 74 Duster

My guess is a bracket to hold the transition from the steel to rubber brake line...

I cannot tell from your photo what I am looking at. A "wild guess" either a brake hose anchor or parking brake cable anchor

I bought the car from someone as a project, there was nothing tan through it when I bought it

Parking brake cables are usually right there. Isnt there one on the other side?? Bracket for the hydraulic brake line should be up in the tunnel over the pumpkin.

Yes there is one on each side . But the brake line was not run through it nor was there a parking brake, line. The brake line was run around other side of frame rail.
I guess I won’t worry about using it. It has a fuel line and brake line already ran. No parking brake, he must of removed it because it was used as a drag car
