First the problem: hesitates at speed when you let off the gas and then get back on it, feels like a lack of power when cruising but full throttle take off not a problem. Carb is a 3310 750 vac. secondaries, two metering blocks
I'm going to go through the carb this weekend mainly to clean and see what jets etc ( cant remember ) are in there. I changed the squirter from a 31 to 35 and that helped some.
The car is 69 barracuda, 340, 10.5 to 1 pistons 040 over, X heads, 1 5/8 headers, old D.C. 471 lift cam, LD340, D.C. electronic ign . 727 w 2800 stall, 355 gears. Combo was good for low to mid 13s at 105 mph on street tires. Would just like to cruise with a crisp throttle response.
Any suggestions on jet, power valve, and vac. spring size, throttle cam, for a decent baseline would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Did it just start doing this? Anything change or happen? Is you accelerator pump working and adjusted properly?

About 2 yrs ago ethanol gas dried in the system, I replaced everything but the carb, that I took apart and cleaned, I replaced the pump daiphram and power valve.Cant remember what size, the original wasnt marked. I probably got something adjusted wrong. What's the adjustment procedure for the pump? Right now it's has slight pressure on the arm and the spring is almost bound at idle.

If you had gas dry up in it I would get a crock pot, just for garage use.
Mix simple green and water, about 50/50.
Tear the carb apart and boil it for a while, do not leave it in there for too long or it will strip the anodize off the carb.
You will be surprised and the garbage that is left in the bottom of the crock pot.

Also, power valves are based on vacuum levels. You need a vacuum guage to choose the right one for the application.

The 2 small holes that fuel flows thru when the PV is open. They should be approx .059 - .063

Thanks again, I assume if they are smaller, drilling them out is the fix ? Do you run the 3310?

Best to measure what you have for reference. Someone may have previously drilled larger. Also the purple spring has always work well for the secondaries. I've run a 3310 in the past but now run a Demon 750 dp. DP 60' better for racing.

Turns out it was already pretty close, orange cam, PV6.5 PVRC 0.0625 70/76 JETS, changed now 72/76. Found two other problems on tear down, one dirt ( clogged passage in meter block) and the floats down travel was limited by the tip of the accerator pump's plug.
Test drive: got my neck snapper back!
            Thanks for the help!
