Does anyone know of a thermal heat shield or heat dissipater for a 225 cu with a Holley one barrel? This thing percolates every time it is ran for a while on hot days.
Heat riser is perfect (manifold is new) and the air cleaner pre heat system works as it should.

Does the carb have the big flat heat shield between the carb and manifold like in these pics. If not I would make one from aluminum sheet, and install.
Or you could put a want add in the parts wanted forum, for one. I don't have an extra. Also note how my gas line is routed, it is made from the newer copper nichol material. It is hi over the valve cover. This is on a 66 B-Cuda with a 72 engine.

Dave, Thanks for the photos. The heat shield is exactly what I have been looking for. I hope someone out there has a extra one and contacts me.
