I have a 70 duster will be putting on a aar fiberglass 6 pak bolt on hood .I have 2 sets of hood hinges. One set has slots where the bolts go through to bolt on hood the other does not.Can i use either set of these and what do i need as far as the springs to use with the fiberglass hood. And will these hoods hold up to an occasional 130 mph?

The hoods will hold up but need to be pinned. The best route on the springs is remove them and fab up a prop rod. They are light springs for this but they are still a little strong. Both sets of hinges are the same except the slots so if you need more adjustment the slotted ones would be the way to go.

The non slots are 67-72, slots are 73-up. Either will work.
You can take a good bit of temper out of the springs by heating them dull red, and then letting them slowly air cool.

The hinges that are slotted have a lot smaller diameter springs than the non slotted pair. Is there any way to tell if the smaller diameter are low tension springs that i could use on the fiberglass hood
