I am wanting to turn a pre 72 hood hinge into post 72 hinge. I've noticed that the holes are wider, I need to know what size end mill to use to give me the slots I need.

The material is taken off the bottom of the hole. so you'll need to use a die grinder or do it in a mill. It gets thin when done correctly . The hinges are wider for 72-76 . If you move the hole up the washer on the bolt hits the top lip and the adjustment will be limited. Been there. and it didn't work I had to still move the holes down to get the adjustment needed and then the washer barely covered the hole.

The back slotted hole on the early hinge is the the correct location and width up and down. If I remember when I go to the shop I can get measurements from the end of the hinge for length of hole and location.. Also the hinge is wider

I will wait for your measurements. But your saying the length of the back slot on the old style is the same as the width of the new? The critical starting point is the upper line of the old holes.
