has anyone seen or have pictures of a 70's dart
with 70's cuda' twin bubble style scoops?
does any company make a steel hood in this style?

Never saw one for A bodies but.... they make those new scoops for pickups that are kinda similar.
 
No, but let me tell you what I saw on a late 70's chevrolet nova. A complete Air Grabber assembly, including the hood bulge from a 1970 ROAD RUNNER! Thats the only time I think the scoop was worth more than the car. What a waste!
 
i've seen pontiac shaker scoops on about every brand.
they always look wierd on anything but a T/A.
i had a 73 'cuda years ago.
i'd love get my hands on another one, but the prices on the
real thing are out of my reach.
i always liked that hoods look and wondered what it would
look like on my 70 dart.
can anyone photoshop something like that?
my computer skills are at the one finger hunt & peck level.
i've got 15 min. in typing this :sad:
i need to add computer classes to my never ending list of
things i'd like to accomplish before i croak. :)
for now i'd settle for being able to just poke one letter at
a time instead two with my fat pokin finger.

longarm, there's someone on the board here who has a 68? Cuda with a set of - I believe - early 70's roadrunner style scoops grafted into the hood. It looked really good on that car, but I'll be cottoned if I can remember which member it is - read: OldTimers Disease! :) You might want to do a search and it'll give you one more idea to ponder.

well i bought a cuda hood saturday!
now i need a 70 dart hood to fit it to.
what years hood will fit a 70 dart?
the cuda hood scoop metal is in good shape but
the frame work is shot.
what do you think would be the best way to combine
the two hoods? :thumbup:

The '70 Dart hood is the same for all Darts '70-72 and '71/72 Demons. Plenty of them still out there to be found and had cheap. I'm sure there is a size difference between the Cuda hood and the Dart/Demon hood, so cutting and grafting (welding) it onto the Dart/Demon hood will be your best choice. I am sure it will look killer when done...
