hood sheetmetal to hood frame glue

I have an old hood and all of the glue has come loose from the frame. I want to reglue so its not all floppy.

What do I use?

I would use a metal body panel adhesive, usually found at auto body supply stores. I think the factory simply used seam sealer. At least that's what i was told by a bodyman friend of mine.

do not use any metal bonding adhesives ,or you will end up with dimples and bumps on the surface of the hood, you want to use either seam sealer or low expansion foam made for these applications, SEM,Fuzor,3M makes .

Yup, every one of the manufacturers, as mentioned above, who make the panel adhesive also make the low expansion foam which the factory used. Ask your local body shop supply store and they should be able to hook you up.
