On my 64 Dart, the rollers on my hood hinges, the ones that guide the hood when raised and lowered, I am trying to find a source that supplies them, but I am not having any luck. What is the proper name for them, anyone know?

If you got them, is there a way to put them on? I got a 65 and will have to look at them.

look here, they are not seperate, but part of the "bar 15-19-46" http://www.jholst.net/65-parts-manual/hood.pdf

A cool alternative is gas charged lifts, just mount them so they attach at a stiff part of the hood

Very helpful diagram, well you knew why I was asking, my hood has to be propped to stay open, I think I will try to find some gas charged shocks, to do the job. Any part number suggestions?

New rollers won't help hold the hood open. Sounds like the torsion bars are too weak or your hood is full of bondo or a heavy hood scoop!

No bondo in my car, desert car, no hood scoop. Has to be the torsion rods.

just try and get the right strength. The real heavy ones may start to buckle the hood. My 92 LS400 shocks were bad so I replaced them and the internet had stories of the hoods folding under the weight of the effort to close them if the wrong lifts were bought! But those hoods were pretty flimsy compared to our tanks.
