404 hp, 430 tq

It's a big cam so he's gonna be trading torque for HP up top..

This should be damn close:

http://www.compcams.com/v002/Pages/391/XE294H-10.aspx

Timing around 16-20 initial 34-38 total, light distributor springs.. 8-12 degrees of vacuum advance will help off the line and fuel mileage, WILL NOT affect performance.

That's with a real good tune on a Holley...

6.5 kinda like a Briggs and Stratton.

435/425tq IDK sounds high
Does it matter. That Duster/Demon will be a ridiculously quick streeter..My first iteration was like that.I put it in my FormulaS, which is 300 to 400 pounds heavier;and it was a ridiculously quick streeter.Yours will be ridiculously quicker.Better start saving for tires.........

I just built about the same motor, but .030 over 10/10 and comp xe285hl (which is the same as my motor but I just have lowly ported J heads):).
I'll guess 398-401hp/413-423lb ft.

404 hp, 430 tq

I think it will make more. That's what my 360 made with less cam (XE268H) and EQ heads.

My guess is about 425 to 450 HP

Here's my Engine... (403HP and 438TQ)

Yep. That combo should be good for atleast 400hp at the crank, maybe up in the 430 area!

Agreed. It should make in excess of 425hp with a good tune up. That's pretty big camshaft.

Max Torque: 394 ft*lbs @ 4100 RPM
Max Power: 415 HP @ 5800 RPM

Comp camps .040 355ci with 9.25 comp; above link.

Go to enough different dyno sessions with different conditions and I'm sure you can get a nice 500hp pull to hang on the fridge. And get some that are under 400.
Time slips really tell the story better.

my xe284 360 had an air gap made 425hp

I'm going to say 432hp - 439lbs-ft

Thanks alot guys. I didnt really think i would reach that high. I guess those numbers would make me hapy. Will be in a 70 duster with a 727 and posi 3.91 rear with 28" tire. Still gotta figure out my stall

at what hp?
are you looking for a peak or max number?
sometimes dyno numbers are mis leading.
no fan,water pump,alternator,fuel pump,mufflers and exhaust....

Go with what Comp recommends on the cam card. They recommend 3500.
