Thought I would start a thread on this. It's the 100th anniversary of RT 66 and in celebration of that it is going down part of it. Who is going?
A few friends and I will be doing it this year as it is fairly close to us. One friend mine will be doing the long haul. I will be doing the first 3 stops then heading home so, its time to start thrashing on the car to get it ready.
I have decided to take my 71 Challenger on this adventure and, after 6 years of beating on it pretty hard it needs a few things tended to. I will share the updates and road to getting ready and probably some updates on the tour itself. Feel free to add if your going and what your doing to get ready for it.
My list of things that need tending
Trans leaking
Back brakes not working--fixed already
Pinion angle off a bit
Check front suspension
Exhaust system needed some "modifications"
Driveshaft seems too long
