How come Darts don't have side stripes? Usually only tail stripes, anyone got pics otherwise?

I always see Darts with bumblebee stripes, or hood stripes, or scoops, or go wings, but not hardly ever any side stripes...

I am planning my paint scheme and really wanted to see what side stripes would look like.
Anyone got any pics of such or any information about this situation?

Here is my car, it had a small side pin strip originally it seems...
The weird part is, there is no sign of one on the other side!

Do a search for pics from "Milehighdart" I think he has white n blue.
Also Mike "2darts" has a few very nice darts. Silver gts ragtop with red pinstripes

Is there a V5_ code on your fender tag?

If so, protective side moldings, not stripes.

But that's metal trim. Not a stripe, right?

Yep, metal trim with a black painted center. Kinda follows the same line as the pinstripe on your car.

Never seen one like that before!

But have any Darts had actual side stripes besides the 68 straight stripe that lines up with the grille n side lights?

Do you know where you got the hood for your car? I am looking for that hood and have been getting my *** kicked trying to find one. I would like that one or a cowl and both are very challenging so if anyone has one of these they want to get rid of, I would love to see if we can make a deal

Cowl hood? No they're for Chevys.

Yeah, I know the Mopar crowd is going to have a **** fit but, It is my car and it fits the build and my needs and frankly, I have a buddy that has one on his 69 and it looks very nice.

I respect that. Just trying to save you some grief. Seems like every time I take my Swinger out I have to explain that it isn't a 340 car because the previous owner put the 340 scoops on.

I look at it this way, when someone else wants to start paying for the build, then they can put anything they want on the car.

I have owned these cars since 2002 and 2003 respectively. One is white and it presently at a restoration shop in Minnesota having a show room style restoration done on it for my 16 year old son for graduation...that was the intention from the jump.

This blue car is one I bought for my then 7 year old son. At age 19 we started to finally work on it in earnest and unfortunately he was killed 2 months after we started building it on July 4, 2015. Its hard for me to finish his dream as I am also disabled as I broke my back thus ending my lifelong career as a police officer. So, finances are very limited and my physical abilities any more are limited. I have a could of very good friends helping but being able to find good quality used stuff is critical for me.

So...If others want to give me ****...they can write the check and we will build a car with their money. Since this is my boys car....I am building what he wanted and his dream on a disabled cops pay....lol
