SOmeone sent me a PM and explained what is going on...didnt catch it in the thread....
OK so if you want to change the studs...yes you can do it at home...some of the methods mentioned will work. The optimal way is to have them properly press fit in and re-swedged...typically only a shop with the proper and kinda expensive tools can do it well.
