I got a new thermo clutch and fan for my 70 (car didn't have one when I got it). The clutch is about 3" deep and makes contact with my radiator. Now my core support is bent back a little bit from a wreck at some point in it's life, and the hacks that fixed the car didn't straighten it out. This has cause me all sorts of clearance problems, this one being the latest. I just want to make sure the 3" is the standard size for a thermo clutch.

Thanks

They vary all over the place between different mopars. I have one that is probably around an inch kickin around the garage somewhere, i had to run a 2" spacer to get it 1/2" from the radiator. Which i believe was off a diplomat or the like. I went electric

I'm talking overall depth, from the front of the clutch to where it mounts on the water pump. Is that what you are talking about?

Oh, I have seen it plenty of times, just not supposed to. Supposed to use a shroud instead of trying to get the fan close to the radiator.

I got one that fits. Flex-a-lite part# 5534 was a good 3/8" to 1/2" shorter then the one I had gotten originally and looks to clear everything pretty good. Thanks for the help guys!
