Hello PA Mopar fans, Im looking at a 73 A-body that is in pretty nice condition and I want to make sure there are no liens or other outstanding issues with the car. Is there a one stop shop/organization in PA that I may be able to accomplish this task? I would hate to spend that kind of money only to find out someone is going to take the car because I failed to do my homework.

I went through this a few times,
Just let DMV or a private MV in Philly do it,
Get the VIN # before buying it
Also, It should be stated on his title, ( At least in NJ it has to be, )
Some times you can google a VIN and something may pop up.

I had my fill of Pa titles that had issues. Pa has some rules different from any place I have ever dealt with and the DMV isn't very helpful.

Have an auto tag place in PA run the title # & the VIN through the DMV to check for liens. IDK if carfax will show liens attached or released in their reports or not. But you could check there too.

Does a 73 have an 11 or a 13 digit VIN? I think Carfax will only do 13 digit VINs.
