How do you folks support the back of the motor with the tranny out while trying to move the car around? I guess I can put a 2x4 beneath the rear and bolt it in where the bellhousing bolts. Any suggestions? Thanks Kevin

I put long 3/8" bolts and a long screw driver, prybar etc across the frame, sometimes a block of wood etc to support the block or you can even support it from the top with the distributor out and use bailing wire etc fro mthe top around a bolt in the block...

Hope this gives you some ideas,,,

IF you Really wanted.. you could buy a engine brace.. it goes from fender to fender and the chain gor down to the motor.. then you can keep the trans out for three years and never worry..

A small length of 2x4 betweent he firewall and block. I dont like stuff underneath..I always seemed to knock it out when moving things around...lol.
