30k wouldn't do that alone.... but what KIND of 30k might !!!! LOLBTW … this engine has close to 30k on it .

Fixed it for you.Maybe I should just throw a 4” crank and pistons in it while it’s out.

I thought about that . Can’t remember if I had it line honedWhat seems odd to me is that the bearing cap is the same gold-ish brown color as that one edge of the bearing. Does that mean that part of the bearing isn't making contact with the main journal?

I'd have the crank mic and see if it needs to be turned or just a polishing and I'd inspect of replace the oil pump.I will pull the rest of mains and rods . Might as well replace them while I have engine out .
