How the heck is this door adjusting rod supposed to work? It has a slotted end and thread on the bottom where you access it through the hole in the bottom of the door frame. OK, so I can turn that with a screwdriver and move it up and down in the lock nut that's also on the bottom.

But, I could crank on that thing all day and it wouldn't move the upper rod that goes through the bracket in the division channel. The division channel bracket eye (1) and the rod that goes through it (2) are both smooth. Twisting the rod with a screwdriver from the bottom only rotates the upper end of the rod in the bracket eye; it doesn't create any movement in the division channel at all. :realcrazy: There's a stationary washer at the base of the rod (3). Do I have everything placed properly? I just don't see how this "adjustment" can do anything at all. Am I missing parts, or am I just missing brain cells???? (NOTE: I could be missing both!)

The bottom of the frame can be moved in and out which moves the top of the vent window in and out slightly. You should loosen the top front bolt and vent frame lock screw first.

yeah, the slotted end is there to help hold the post while you tighten the nut. That adjuster is only for tipping the top of the vent window inward or outward. The u-shaped metal should be able to slide on that door frame bracket then when you tighten the nut on the bottom, it clamps down on the u-shaped piece and locks your setting in place.

OK. Thanks, guys. I had the impression from the literature and from a couple of videos that this was supposed to tilt the front and back of the frame somehow in the same manner as the one on the front of the door frame by the hinges. It makes sense that there wouldn't be two separate adjusters to do the same thing though. Duh!!
