A 65 barracuda shifter knob mount to shaft? Thinking of different knob ideas. As always thanks in advance

I can get a pic later after work. It’s a normal Allen bolt pretty small.

Mine is a Hurst shifter with 3/8 - 24 thread that the shifter knob threads on. I believe this is the factory shifter that came with the car, 65 Barracuda.

Yup, on a stock automatic, the knob has an allen head set screw in the lower front part of the knob. The screw tightens into a slot on the shifter lever. I'm not aware of any aftermarket shift knobs that fit that type shifter. You may have to modify one to get it to latch on there properly.
