FYI slants have the coil vertically mounted under the alternator.

Done the ballast bypass thing before...burned up coil more than once. Not a good idea on stock type ignition system.
Ok I think I know what I need to do. I need a start 12 volt to my coil like from the starter then I need a voltage from the resister that is dropped down to keep it going. Am I understanding this rite?
