Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the 2% reflected the entire A-body line (Dodge and Plymouth)for model year '72, not just Duster. Heres mine....I know, sorry, its a 4dr Valiant. Factory original paint...two tone TX9 on the bottom and EW1 on top.

Dmoore owns the super nice survivor 72 TX9 Duster 340 and may have some more info about production #'s for them. They're pretty rare regardless.

It's 1.9% for all 72 Dusters, regardless of engine type. Much less of a % for triple-black, supposedly...

I agree with you that is definitely Dave's Duster. I met him at The all Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle. He is a super nice guy with plenty of knowledge about Dusters. He took lots of time to show me his car, and he never tired with the barrage of questions that I was throwing at him. His car is probably one of the nicest survivor cars around.
Dave if you read this, I haven't forgotten the tail light picture that you wanted to see.

I had the 1972 black on black. It was also a factory 4 speed with no ac. I brought it from NY to Texas. Sold it in the mid 80's. The black interior along with a black car was just to hot for me in the Texas summers.Dont know what had happened to it after i traded it in. Hopfully it is still out there. The old vin number was VS29H2B481930

Not 100% sure, but I think there is a 1972 340 TX9 Duster in Santa Rosa, California. I can't remember the guys name, but he's probably on this forum somewhere.

Thank you Steve. We never did get together last summer. Hopefully our shedules will allow it next summer.
Don't know how I missed this thread...the 1.6% figure accounts for both Valiant & Duster....
