depending on the gear ratio you want to run you might want to look for a different case like 489 or 742

I have 3 741 cases, the one in the car had factory 391 gears, when rebuilding the gears were deemed not usable due to pitting on the gear surface. Wanted another set of 391 but 355 or 373 were all that was available

My guess cost the same to rebuild but if you want a certain gear set check before you spend a penny on it.

I think the 741 case will be fine. Regardless, first, you need to see if the carrier you have is even rebuildable. If it is the cone type sure grip like an Auburn, it is not. The clutch style however is. Usually you can score a new set of clutches and steels for under 100 bucks new. They are really quite simple to rebuild. You should try it yourself and save the money if it's a clutch unit.
