hi guys just installed a big block in my 73 cuda with an msd ready to run and a mini starter,so i got rid of the relay and have wired my 3 wire altenator up corectly, everything is wired as factory, car cranks over fine, but when it goes back to run it loses all power(checked start and run modes on the ignition with a multimeter)power in start mode and no power when ignition goes back to run............how do i get constant power in run mode......what colour wire..what do i have to do?????????

Just use a jumper wire across the ballast resistor. I believe the wires are blue and brown. Make sure you use a good gauge wire, approx. 14-16 awg.

I had the exact opposite issue. Power in run position and car wouldn't start. Had no power in crank/start position. Find a wire that has both to power your box.
