how to install new t bars

my painting friend ask me if i could help him put his front end toghter. it,s a 64 chryler and has been apart for painting and new bushing. when setting up the t bar is there any tension that is put on them .this will all be done and the rotisorty does anybody have any pic,s by chance? thanks

Take apart the upper ball joint to spindle, remove the upper rebond bumper, stand on the lower assembly. It will slip right in(with a rubber hammer).

Oh, sometimes you need to loosen lower pivot nut.

Torsion Bars are unwound springs . Darn tootin' there's tension on 'em .
