How to remove front fender side marker lights 70 dart

when i get under the car it looks like there are 2 round nuts holding the mounting bracket but they dont turn and they are not nut shaped so i cant get a wrench on them am i missing something ?

Sort of, there is a nut shape to them if OEM. Try scraping them off a bit.

Those 2 nuts unscrew 7/16 6 point socket works the best,Be careful housing is pot metal,
which then the tin cover pulls off, and the lite housing comes out from the outside. Thats for 70 Dart.

No they are rounded at the top and about an inch long

get all the dirt and undercoating off.. there is a nut shape at the base..

True, the nuts have a rounded dome top, hexes at the base.

They were sprayed with wheel well sound deadner (undercoating) quite often & that can hide the nut flats.
