The original pedal is falling off of my Barracuda. I ordered and received a new accelerator pedal kit with hardware and it looks fairly straight forward but I rather have instructions on the correct way to remove and replace the pedal. It has been awhile, since I played with my car and I do not feel as comfortable tackling projects without first learning the correct methods to do things rather then the gorilla fashion of my youth..

They are so easy I don't even remember. There's a nut or bolt or two that go through the firewall, 1/4" bolt I think, and the whole deal comes off. Of course you must release the cable end(s)

Wander over to MyMopar and download yourself a free service manual

do you need to replace the pedal its self or the whole assembly ?

This is a picture from the Factory Parts Book, the spring can only go in two ways, try both, it should be clear. Don't recall the clip, then again I had a complete assembly in front of me when I did it. No tricks, no secrets, take it apart and put it together.
