How to take the coating off a Milodon oil pan

I run them without paint until the first refresh then they get soda blasted and any repairs and painted engine color after epoxy primer. I’ve never been a fan of the gold color in fact I believe I’ve painted a new pan after trying to make the original 2” shallower at the track one weekend.

We've had two Milodon pans leak. Pin hole in the weld at the drain plug bung weld.

That's exactly where mine started to weep a bit after 10 years. JB stopped it for awhile, but it's back. Plan to drain it thoroughly this off season and clean it up good as possible, then hit it with a MIG.
