there was a thread on our daily drivers and I'm on the i pad most the time and don't know how to do some stuff with it yet.

All my pictures were too big, not good enogh quality and so i never posted

Today i took some better pictures and using the lap top I'm use to.

Couldn't find the daily driver thread but this is more on How we make a car our own.

In the past many new cars were sent off to be customized when new, custom bodies from the 20 and up were common for the wealthy.

For us not so wealthy we still want a personal touch. JC Whitney was a place for many to get custom stuff to personalize a car.

I bought a 2007 mustang convertible for my daily driver to my job at Ford. I like the looks of it but not the color and the fact it was a V6 also didn't have the cool look from the factory duals.

i decided shortly after getting it (on the drive home probably) to change it some.

So I took a nice clean convertible and made what I think Ford could and should have built.

69/70 style hood scoop and hood black out like a 69

even has a repo 69/70 Mach 1 dash emblem for the finishing touch

now to get a set of chrome wheels and bigger tires laster this year once the roads are clear for the season

Still don't care for the color but it is much better with the black accents

what have you done to your daily driver to make it YOUR OWN?

Busy getting it on the road right now. Been putting money into it slowly. Needs some odds and ends from sitting for so long and some suspension work.

It's an '89 F150 4x. 302/5speed. Loaded. Cruise, A/C, power everything, sway bars front and rear.

After a few projects get done, eventually it'll see some upgrades. 408 FI stroker, body and paint, grille guard, lighted sunvisor, maybe a tube grille. Odds and ends I like having on a truck.

No pics, but in the next year or so, after accumulating parts for it, you'll see a build thread over on the trucks forum.

Hey Robert what kind of mirrors do you have?

We are working on my Daily Driver now. hopefully will be done with the trans tomorrow and with a bit of luck some intake gaskets to put on my Eddy intake and AVS carb.

Since it's a 95 Woody wagon with a corvette motor and I have wanted an Impala SS station wagon since I was 10, the wheels will come off and get a set of 17x8 SS wheels on instead, the hidious woodgrain is coming off, and the caprice grill will be replaced with an Impy SS grill. I'll have to paint it red, but that's not a huge deal.

My summer DD, is the barracuda, and I don't have to do anything to it. It's perfect the way it is right now.

here's something I did to my Stealth that's subtle but I love it- I reversed the rear wiper motor(take the motor apart, flip the main gear upside-down, and it reverses the way the motor works) so that the rear wiper sits under the spoiler instead of running up the left side of the rear glass when off

here's the after picture

and the way it is on a stock stealth

My son and I got tired of people calling our Charger a GTO, so we modified it
