I didn't trust her to straddle the hood for a "hood ornament", but Pricilla was happy to oblige for at least a fender polish!!! Good fun at this event. Mark it for your calender next year!

These were taken at last weekends Dragfest '09, held at the legendary Famoso Dragstrip in Bakersfield. With lady luck smiling, I was fortunate enough to take a vintage tin AWB Dart into the semi-finals of nostalgia gas. Boy, were they all surprised. An 11.47 at 119 mph!

Famoso has such a vintage vibe to it, and so much soul. The racing was outstanding, but moreso, the cars there were over the top. I"ve never seen so many vintage race hemis, gassers and straightaxle cars. Google it up, and get a taste of yester-year.

Great pics! Looks like a wonderful time. A little far for me to flat tow the Dart, but that would sure be a good time!
So when do you convert that baby to a 4-speed?
