Hurst Competition Shifter Adjustment

-
I thank God every night for the internet!! thank you everyone for your responses.

Going off of what was described above my shift rods were adjusted properly. However, my 1-2 shift lever had quite a bit of play. the 3-4 lever seemed to be fine, but if I am getting new rods welded in might as well do both. So I will send this off to brewers hopefully this week.

In the process of getting my cover off it appears that my bolts were not in the proper holes. Go figure. So that will be all corrected when it goes back together.

So once this gets back together hopefully it will be shifting like butter!

Great to hear this .

Unless you have worked on Mopars some ,,,most don’t realize that the shoulder bolts in the cover act as locating dowels and position the cover to compliment the inside levers .
It’s very easy to overlook if you’re not familiar with them .
Very easy !

The A833 was always the best factory transmission in my opinion .
Built very robust and dependable in street use as well as racing .
