So I got some brake fluid on my sintered iron disc and McLeod soft locker. Maybe 2 ounces. I'm going to try and garden hose it clean. That'll probably make the disc rust no? Should I just "burn it off" or will it cause a problem with my disc facings? It was dot 3. First time at the track this year. Burn out and pull up to the lights clutch pedal to the floor....bang, car jumps forward no clutch pedal. All done. Am I overthinking this?

Brake cleaner might be a better option on unpainted surfaces.

Burning it off will probably result in glazing the machines surface.

Was the burst hose a result of rubbing or just over pressure

Rubbing. I must have not paid enough attention when I reinstalled the lenco after clutch and bell recertification. At least I was able to swap the hose without pulling anything but the acces cover at the bottom of the browell bell. Breaking at the line....haha! Damn

Ya I don't want to be that guy! Dead at the starting line sucks enough.

Replaced the hose without pulling anything but the inspection cover. Had to get a crows foot socket to get it tight. Had a tough time bleeding it as usual. But all good now. Had the neighbor hold the pedal down and I walked the disc around and brake cleaned it good. All loaded up on the trailer!
