That is one sweet looking Duster, you are a lucky guy. I'll have to put a thousand hours and more dollars than I care to think about into mine to get it into even respectable shape.

The pics are hiding a lot of bad stuff....I am going to have to put a lot of time and money into this one also....It will need all new quarter skins, probably whole new roof and a spare tire pan...... It had a very crappy armature restoration on it several years back and then it was parked and left under a bunch of pine trees.... but if it was in perfect shape I would have never been able to afford it....

That's hard to believe from the pictures, it looks mint. I hope it isn't as bad as you think it might be. If it is we can ***** and whine at each other as we work at it

Believe it or not, its not fixing rust that costs a lot of money, it chasing down all the little parts that are missing. It looks like your car is very complete and mostly correct, and its a great color combination if it is original. I bought my 68 Dart and I thought it was complete, but chasing down small missing pieces has been eating my budget like a wood-chipper. I have been tossing $100 bills at my car faster than I can believe. I set a budget of $7500 for paint and bodywork and have already blown past that. Looking back, I should have saved my money and bought a $7500 car instead of a $4000 car. You did good buying a complete car, if you put sweat equity into it, you will have a great car without paying too much.

That's the Mopar curse Flyboy, parts, the lack of them specifically and limited repop stuff to boot. Rust is usally a large time investment, you feel like your chasing your tail, the deeper you go the more you find :cussing: I often qustion my sanity, I do this as a hobby? What am I a moron?

Flyboy, Just think, all that money could have gone to the wifey or spent on that holiday to bring home nothing...When ya think of it, your mop can be like having an extra kid...All that money and knuckle braking time well spent, and then...you can stand back and appreciate what you accomplished!!

man that is a very nice car! so how much do you know about it? is it the original color combo? is that a white vinal top or painted white top? is the engine still the original? i see it was a ac car at one time. man if the car is the original color combo w/ac and 4 speed that car has to be pretty rare! does it have the fender tag? build sheet? need more info please....

Thanks for all the compliments!!!!
Yes this car is original....I have the window sticker...It was special ordered Green with white vinyl top, white interior, black stripe with factory a/c. I figure it has to be rare with that color combo.....I have never seen one like it...... It does have fender tag... How can you find out the production numbers for a car like this???? Thanks

I also must say I have the best wife in the world!!! She was behind me all the way and helped me out a lot in getting it!!!! :wav:

Excellent score! :tongue9: My wife's really good about the cars too. She says, do what you want, it's your money. Although, she thinks A-bodies are granny cars. :wack: Does this look like a granny car to you?

the only way is to have it registered through galen govier. he is the man that can tell you everything about it. here is the link to him:
http://www.gvgovier.com/

be prepared to wait though as it takes about 4 months, so start soon! production numbers on your car have to be low. you really need to check into it to find out.
