I fired it up tonight and fought some valve cover leaks, no big deal. Then I hear a splashing sound like water hitting a hot header. I look closer and the freakin head gasket's are leaking on both sides in the same place :x

I TQ'd them like ARP said to which was 80 pounds using their lube. Then Scotty thought I might be bottoming out the head bolt's so I check what I got from Scott Brown vs what Indy reccomended and they are not the same  that doesn't mean I got the wrong ones but now I'm wondering. It doesn't apear that I have any antifreeze in the oil so that is good. The oil level is exactly the same as it was. Just to be safe I will dump it and fix the problem before starting it again. I'm so frustrated.

I hear ya ! It is especially maddening when time is so hard to come by. I do not work as many hours as you ( although I am workin 2 jobs ) . And am a Dad to 4 kids. 2 of my own and 2 foster kids. But trust me I do know the frustration you are going through. Yesterday i set the day aside to advance the cam in my old 400, desperately tryining to hit the 13's before I yank it out and put the 383 back in. So what happens? After I drop the kids off at school I go outside to start workin on the car and notice a huge puddle of antifreeze under my van (Astro). So the rest of the day I spent running around trying to locate a water pump . After I found 1 , $85 later I spent the rest of the day workin on my f%^$in van . Sometimes life is so unfair, hang in there , life sucks but in the end it usually works out....
