Yep, they are both there at Ensign. I plan to work on the Gold Duster for a wile tomorrow after work. Just come in the shop and ask for Jeremy

Jeremy do you know there is a 70-72 duster sitting in someones yard around Clarkston. I just saw the back end. My wife and I went for a drive a couple of years ago and saw it. Looked to be in good shape. I want to cruise over there again and look for it. There is also a 72-74 charger sitting across from my house in smithfield. I want to go over and low ball the guy.
 
Hmm, I am not sure where the Duster is, but my friend lives out there and has two HANG 10 Dart's. I also pulled a running driving 70 Road Runner out of there three years ago.

Is the Duster on the North West side behind a guys house with lots of other cars.

A 74 Charger huh? What color? I kind of like the 3rd gen chargers. I know of a black one sitting over in Hyrum. I would say you should go offer them something for it. that would be an awesome addition.

Well, off to go play with the Duster. I found out the mater cylender is bad yesterday. All well.
 
Thanks 63. I have also decided that it is to nice. The 1/4's are quite rusty, but otherwise it is fairly nice. I spent a wile cleaning it up last night and the interior looks real nice for a 36 year old car. I love the color of the interior too. Plus. Everyone that has seen it loves the snake skin vinyl roof. Thats the only thing keeping me from turning it into a dazed and confused clone. I think I am going to call the car Dazed and Confused.

Saw C Stripes new toy today. He stole the thing. The paint, top, dash pad and interior look great. (Amazing Deal) I offered him $500 for it and he said no. What a jerk. Good job Jeremy and I hope the master cylinder works out for you.

I decided that if I am going to have nice wheels and tires, I need to paint the drums and re undercoat the wheel wells.

Man if it were any cheaper it would be stolen. You got an amazing deal on that in my opiinion.
 
Cody, DustYa has been out in the rain to long. I hope to get him in the shop soon. Then the fun starts. The Gold Duster, which I am going to call Dazed and Confused (thats what I was going to do was make a dazed and confused clone) will be registered this week if everything goes right. I need to replace a few bulbs. Fix the oil pressure sending unit and thats it. Then I will be cruising northern Utah with it. She has came a LONG way in one week. I only found her a week ago tomorrow.
 
The wheels look great. I didn't realize that was a disc brake car. Bonus! See you on the road.

Do you have pics of your car? I have not decoded my fender tag yet. But I would like to know what color the stripes were originally. The car has came a long way in a short time. It has grown on me more than I expected that it would. I am very impressed with how well the little 225 runs. The car needs a sway bar though. Is yours a slant six car too?

Does anyone have a opinion on KYB shocks? good or bad?

Mine is a 318 car. The 7.25 rear was bad so we replaced with another. There are pics on the site of the car. Look under the topic in the general section "Help in Des Moines" . There should be pics here of when Vic went to get it. I'll see if i can find the post for ya and pull it to the top. Correction Stripes. Go to the search feature in the tool bar at top and type in "snakeskin" in the subject line the n go down to the 3 months or older and you will see a pic there. Check with Challenger gary on your strip color. I sent him a sample and he can do it but it aint cheap. I need one also. See if you can get a price break on a pair of em.

Hey everyone. I put all new lights in it today. It is now insured and I hope to get it registered on Friday. I can't wait to start driving it. I drove it about a mile or so yesterday and it drives nice and straight and has all the pep that you might expect out of a slant six. I really want to put a 318 or 360 in it. Maybe this winter I will do that. I guess I'll see. It's crazy how many complements I get on that rusty old brown recluse. But, I am happy with her. I need to have the front seat rebuilt sometime too. It's a little ruff.
 
Hey everyone, I have been driving her around a little. I went to get her registered on Friday, but thanks to the government pretending that they are going to save a whole bunch of money by having four day work weeks, I didn't get her registered. But I have been very anxious to drive here, so I have snuck her out a few times. Probably put close to 10 miles on her. She drives alright but needs new shocks. It drives very straight, but feels a little loose. Part of that though is that I drive a Cadillac everywhere, so getting into an old car just feels different. Good, but different. I keep having problems with one of the blinkers too. I have cleaned the socket and put dielectric grease in it and it still will just quit working. Kind of pisses me off. Every single bulb on the exterior of that car is new. Now I need to fix a few dash lights. Also, the fuel guage does not work. It stays at 1/4 tank. I am guessing that that is where the tank sat for years. Will it eventually work, or do I need a new sender? Let me tell you. The brakes on this car kick ***. It stops better than my Caddy even thinks about stopping. You hit them. You are stopping. The car is fun to drive. I just wish it was a V8. That would make things even better.

I would like to put a bike rack on it to haul a mountain bike. How can I do that without ruining the snake skin? It is the only example I have ever seen and it is in very good shape. I really don't want to ruin it. I wish I could take it off and sell it to someone that needs it. I really wanted to make the car look like the dazed and confused car if I didn't part it out, which I have decided not to. But I can't make it a D&C clone either with that roof. So it will just stay how it is. Anyone want to trade for a V8 car in around the same condition??
 
Well, I buffed the Duster today. It actually has a shine to it. I am amazed. What I am even more amazed at is, My Duster is the number 1 73 Duster and number 4 over all Duster on Cardomain. I figure that's pretty cool. Here are a few pics. I hope to be driving the car all over this week.
