NOW that I have your attention.... I don't know a thing!! LOL! Which one of you GURU's can tell me how many 67 R/T's were produced with bench seats and Gold Tan Poly paint?

Sorry bout the joke but I've exhausted several hours of searches and coming up with general information:blob:

There is not really any way to know that for sure.

Here is a real one I had a few years back. It was originally dark green but it had the bench seat (colum shift) with the fold down armrest, 150 mph speedo, factory tach on the dash.
I was told back then that the numbers of these were just over a thousand. Of those it was believed that 43 were Hemi 4 speeds. The remaining were Hemi auto's and 440's (auto and 4 speed). Not sure of the other breakdowns.

Nice car.... thanks for the input. Okay starting to make sense. I have the 150 speedometer but no tach with column shift and fold down seat. Guess I should expect a heafty price for the seat covers huh!!!

Most 67 RTs and GTXs had buckets with a console. Some had buckets with a buddy seat between them. I don't believe there were any with a bench seat, but I guess it could have been possible on a special order. Chrysler did some crazy stuff back then,so never say never. I owned a new 67 GTX with 440 auto, and a 4spd hemi in 1978. Both were B 5 blue, the 440 had white interior, the hemi had black with the buddy seat.

Yeah I am probably calling the bench seat the wrong term. Looking at the info... it states "fold down" with the arm rest or possbily the buddy seat you speak of.
My biggest concern was the tach delete. Not an issue but caused me to run the serial first to ensure I had the real deal not a clone.

Don't have an answer, but I do have a '67 Coronet 500 that has its original gold paint. It's a 383, column auto, bucket/buddy seat, air conditioning car. Car came from Vegas (to Montana) and doesn't have a spec of rust :-)

I don't think a tach was standard, either. Could have had a vac gauge, or clock, all three in the same pod housing part, or nothing at all. Of course I could be wrong...

Let's see a pic.

If you look close in the picture I posted you can see the tach on the dash. It was really quite useless as the needle just bounced around with very little accuracy. It went to 6000 and was mounted into the dash.

Yeah everything looks normal as far as the normal things we look for no newer parts vs older housings ...changes etc. I'll get some interior pics this weekend.

I meant a pic of the OP's car.

What pic did you post?

A factory DASH tach in 67??? Charger maybe.

ON the dash???

We're talking about a 67 Coronet R/T right?

The picture in post #5 I posted, it's a 67 Coronet R/T with the tach mounted on the dash from the factory.

This is buckets with a buddy seat......

The tach was only available with buckets and console and was mounted on the console in front off the shifter.................about like attaching it to your ankle.

You sure that's factory?

The orange paint, rallye wheels, and painted bumpers certianly are not.

I bought the car from the original owner. He was a mechanic it Jim Davidson Motors in Toronto and ordered it in 1966. It was dark green and had full wheel covers. He wanted the Hemi but it was back ordered and was too impatient so took the 440 instead. There were no modifications done to the car. The tach was on the dash from new. It had the "center seat with arm rest". Inside door panels had the R/T emblems on them. 150 mph speedo. I remember it had 9 leafs on each side with an 8 3/4 (3.23) The hood scoop was only offered on the R/T as far as I know.
I added the rims, and always liked the Hemi orange color. The painted bumpers was done just for looks. If I still owned the car now I would certainly return it to the original condition. I was only 16 when I owned it and didn't know any better.
I have the VIN number on and old insurance slip and will dig it up.
Here is a picture of it (with me) when I bought it:
