Our crew pretty much quit using the box(es) when we let them start going outside as they pleased. however, since we let Vincent (the new guy) start coming in, he's decided to start using the box almost exclusively. (well, there goes the thought of not buying litter anymore), and his "business" has distinctive arromatic qualities.
If it's constantly terrible smelling, look close for tapeworms.
best deeal on tapeworm pills is Tractor Supply. Still pricey but best deal on what the Vet uses. Our Vet couldn't believe we found it over the counter. Blue card with white cat on it.
I give 1/2 pill, then the otrher 1/2 about 1.5 weeks later.
Now that I notice...Vincent is kinda stubby, as well...
