And had a blast. What a weekend filled with seeing friends I haven’t seen in several years, good food on the grill, going a few rounds, Saturday and Sunday racing without an afternoon nap in the motorhome, and some close racing. They called our Saturday race after 1st round at 11:18pm after the cold and humidity made the track to unsafe to race on. So we ran the Sunday race Sunday morning into the afternoon and I went out 3rd round. We went into Saturday’s race to finish it and I bowed out 3rd round again. I totally dropped the ball on this race taking to much stripe on a race I should have won. So I loaded up while watching some racing and got home at 8pm. Man I love this sport and hope I have many years left. Just getting the car back out after the wreck was a win and having it perform well was a double-win. Hopefully the rain quits early today so I can start winterizing everything.

You would have to have gone a 6.090. Not much room for that. But it drives you nuts looking at the slip afterwards.

Im not sure I understand what you are saying. I had the better light so if I ran my dial I win.

Absolutely. You could have run one humdreth off and still won. But when you look at the small window the other guy left you its harder to drive it there on the brake pedal. 6.079 or 6.091 wouldn’t do it.

Good deal John, I'm glad you had a good time and did fairly well.
It's great for you to head into winter on a positive note.

Way to go!! Glad you had fun and came home all intact. Really gotta watch those late fall nights when the temp falls and the dew rolls in.

I hear ya ! I Double entered and screwed up the stripe in both classes third in one, ( the third round loss was definitely mine to win ) second in the other. Having fun and hanging with friends is what its all about...

I didn’t even go up for the call when they called us Saturday night. It was watching temps drop and humid go up. It’s not worth it at a certain point. They called it before the box (odd number cars) started.

Ya I’m not a very good topend racer. My body is pretty beat up so I struggle with turning and watching the other competitors. I struggled with car handling most of the year and third round was my huckleberry way to many times. Hopefully I can rebound next year.
